in that 1978-'79 season Red Auerbach seemed to use revolving doors in the Boston Garden, since he acquired or traded 12 of the 18 players who were part of the roster. Anyway, the Celtics players in the 1979 campaign were:

10 Jo Jo White (traded on January 30th, 1979),
11 Bob McAdoo (acquired in a trade on February 12th,1979),
12 Don Chaney,
18 Dave Cowens,
27 Kevin Stacom (acquired in a trade on February 7th, 1979),
27 Marvin Barnes (waived on February 7th, 1979),
31 Cedric Maxwell,
32 Jeff Judkins,
34 Dennis Awtrey (acquired in a trade on October 10th, 1978),
35 Tommy Barker(signed as a free agent on January 19th, 1978 and traded on February 12th, 1979),
35 Billy Knight (traded on January 16th, 1979),
41 Curtis Rowe,
42 Chris Ford (acquired in a trade on October 19th, 1978),
43 Earl Tatum (traded on October 19th, 1978),
