Boston Celtics - Celtics basketball

Expert: Fabio Anderle - 7/24/2008

Question
In a recent e-mail I forgot to idebtify the item in question. It is an autographed ball from the 1986 Celtics championship team including all players, coaches and Red Auerbach.Ijust received a COA.

Answer
Hi, Robert,

sorry for the delayed answer but computer viruses have no mercy....
Lately I have seen basketballs signed by the 1986 NBA Champions (without a COA) sold in the 400/800 $ range, but of course when you talk about sports memorabilia it all depends on the value placed on the item because of its emotional associations rather than its monetary worth. This means that a Celtics fan could spend up to two, three or even four thousand dollars for an item like that, considering its enhanced value since Red Auerbach and Dennis Johnson passed away and that the 2008 Championship for many fans somewhat rekindled the love for the Celtics.
I hope this helps

Fabio
