Hello, I am looking to purchase a 1986 Celts autographed ball (it's white and green, not regular bball color) that was apparently won at a ruffle at a home game back in 86. COA was lost about 10 years ago but the person is willing to let me take it to a sport memorabilia shop to check authenticity. Asking price is $350 which seems too cheap for real thing and too expensive for a fake. HELP!!!! Thanks.

I agree, the market value of a 1986 Boston Celtics autographed basketball is way over 1,000 dollars, so I would check its authenticity before deciding if buying it or not.

Maybe knowing the 1986 Boston Celtics roster can help you: Danny Ainge (currently General Manager of the Celtics), Larry Bird (currently General Manager of the Indiana Pacers), Rick Carlisle (currently head coach of the NBA Champions Dallas Mavericks), Dennis Johnson, Greg Kite, Kevin McHale (freshly appointed head coach of the Houston Rockets), Robert Parish, Jerry Sichting, David Thirdkill, Sam Vincent, Bill Walton, Scott Wedman, Sly Williams. The coach was K.C. Jones.
