Hi there, i am wondering if you could help. I've got two quite conflicting dates of when exactly the carrier of Larry Bird began but don't know which date's correct - I'm doing a project in connection withBoston Celtics at my uni, would much appreciate if you could help.

Larry Bird began his career as a Celtic on June 8, 1979, when he signed his first contract with the Boston-based franchise. He played his first regular season game donning the #33 for the Celtics on December 12, 1979, when Boston defeated Houston 114-106 at the Boston Garden. Larry fouled out late in the game, but his contribution was important anyway: 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in just 28 minutes of play.
