Hi Fab,

May I ask what jersey number did Bob Houbregs wore during his limited stay with the Celtics?... He played at least 2 games for the Celtics prior to being traded in a couple of teams in a season... He must have wore a number... Thanks in advance....

Hi Jim,

the Celtics' Official Site and the "Picture History of the Boston Celtics" fail to shed some light on what was Bob "Hooks" Houbregs' number during his short stay in the Beantown. Thank God, Peter Bjarkman's "Boston Celtics Encyclopedia" came to the rescue, stating that in the 1954-'55 campaign the former Husky donned the # 4 Celtics jersey.
