Question
My son is the owner of Boston Celtic Stock - he has owned it for 10 years.  We were never notified that the stock was taken private and is no longer traded.  Is there any way to liquate the stock at this point? Thanks for responding.

Answer
Hi, Jack,

when owner Paul Gaston sold Celtics ownership to Wycliffe Grousbeck's local investment group Boston Basketball Partners L.L.C., all individual owners of stock had to resell their shares back to the BBP, as per their agreement with the NBA once ownership of the team became finalized. If you want to sell your share, you should contact "Boston Basketball Partners L.L.C. (151 Merrimac St. Boston, MA 02114-4714, Phone: 617-854-8000, Fax: 617-367-4286)
and ask them directly what you should do. But if I was you, considering that the stock value at the moment of the selling was just about 27 $, as a true Celtics fan I would frame that stock and pin it up on the living room wall as a real proof of the green blood running through your veins....
I hope it helps...
