Question
Who was the player for the Boston Celtics that signed a contract and went to celebrate and had a drug overdose and died that night in the 1970's??

Answer
Actually, this sad story saw its horrible epilogue in the Eighties. On June 19, 1986, at about 3 o'clock in the morning Leonard Kevin Bias was partying with some friends in the dormitory at Maryland University. He had been called by the Boston Celtics as the second overall draft pick just about 30 hours earlier, and he had just become a "million dollar man": 325,000 bucks from a shoe brand and about 700,000 the Celtics were going to pay for his salary. Unfortunately, the party was a very bad conceived one, since the young men decided to assume cocaine and a mighty hallucinogen called PCP which caused Len Bias a massive cardiac arrest putting an end to a promising basketball career. Len Bias was declared dead at 08:55 in the morning. He had been dubbed "a Michael Jordan with a jump shot".
