where did the Celtics get their name

Original team owner Walter Brown wanted a hook to try and get Boston's (at the time) large Irish population coming to home games and buying tickets ... So, he hit upon the idea of using the very Irish-sounding moniker "Celtics" as the team's name (there had been teams before to use that name, such as the New York Celtics and Original Celtics, but this would be the first instance of the name in the newly-formed NBA).
