Question
I recently purcahsed a Charlie Scott card with him wearing #33. I know he wore #11 when I seen him play with Boston. Did he ever wear #33 or was this a one time thing. Can you help??

Answer
Hi, Tim,

I never saw a card like that. Very interesting indeed, since Charlie Scott always played donning number 11 as a Celtic. It must have been a promotional photo of some sort.....  but in Phoenix he played using # 33, so that may have been the cause. Then, on May 23rd, 1975, when he came back to Boston in the trade that sent Paul Westphal to Phoenix, he found his #33 was being used by Steve Kuberski, so he had to switch to # 11.
I'd appreciate it if you could send me a scan of the card for further analysis.... my e-mail is legend33@libero.it
I'll provide more infos, that way, ok?
Until then, I don't think I am capable of telling you more than this.
Looking forward to your e-mail
