Question
Before you laugh at my question, I am not a Celtics fan so Im not up on whether my question is even legit, but I am doing a little personal research.  Can you tell me all the players who ever wore jersey # 35 and they years they played?  I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks!

Answer
Trina,

don't worry, your question is nothing to laugh about at all. The Celtics' # 35 was first used from 1972 to 1976 by Paul Silas who won two NBA titles in the meantime. During the 1978-1979 two Celtics players used it: Tom Barker and Billy Knight. Charles Bradley wore it from 1981 1983 and then Sly Williams in 1985-1986. The last player who used # 35 was the late Reggie Lewis who wore it from 1987 to 1993. After his death in July 1993 while he was shooting baskets at Brandeis University, the Celtics decided to retire the number to honor the captain, and they did it on march 22, 1995.
I hope this helps
