Boston Celtics/Jersey Numbers

Question
I had a question in a trivia contest as follows: In 1963 the NBA MVP, NL MVP, AL MVP, and NFL MVP all wore the same jersey number. What was it? Clearly the MVP's were Sandy Koufax, Elston Howard, Jim Brown, (all number 32's) and Bill Russell won in the NBA. We all know Russell was #6...but did he ever wear #32....maybe temporarily or something?

Answer
Hi, Glenn,

Bill Russell always wore #6, both at USF and with the Celtics. So, I don't know if the question was not correct or maybe Russell wasn't in the mix, but I am quite sure that in the 1962-1963 season William Felton Russell used that jersey number and no other number.
Maybe it was not the NBA MVP?
