The Boston Celtics have won 16 NBA Championships so far. They won two rings in the Fifties (1956-57 and 1958-59), an astonishing nine in the Sixties (1959-60, 1960-61, 1961-62, 1962-63, 1963-64, 1964-65, 1965-66, 1967-68, 1968-69), two in the Seventies (1973-74 and 1975-76) and the last three in the Eighties (1980-81, 1983-84 and 1985-86). Moreover, when they managed to reach the Finals, they have lost just three times (1957-58, 1984-85, 1986-87), and they are undoubtedly the most successful franchise in the NBA history (the Lakers have won "just" 14 titles out of 27 trips to the, "Showdown").
