Do you know all the names of the Celtic players who wore the #3? Did anyone with the initials D.B. wear the number #3 and if so what years did they play for the Celtics?

no "D.B." ever used the Celtics' #3, which was retired December 13, 1991 in honor of Dennis Johnson (could "D.B." be "D.J."?), who had played for the Boston Celtics from 1983 to 1990. The other Celtics to don the #3 jersey were: Mel Hirsch (1946-47), Chuck Hoefer (1946-48), George Nostrand (1948-50), John Hazen (1948-49, also wore #10). In the NBA's first years it was frequent to see different players use the same number in the same season, that's why Hirsch and Hoefer both used the #3 jersey in 1946-1947 and Nostrand and Hazen both wore it in 1948-1949.
