Question
could you tell me when tiny nate archibald was on celtics roster and team stats while with them?

Answer
Hi, Craig,

Nate "Tiny" Archibald was acquired on August the 4th, 1978, when Boston and San Diego almost "swapped franchises": the Celtics sent Kevin Kunnert, Kermit Washington, Sidney Wicks and the rights to Freeman Williams to Califonia and received  Nate `Tiny` Archibald, Marvin Barnes, Billy Knight, the 1981 and the 1983 second round pick of the Braves. Archibald was waived five years later, on July 22nd, 1983, and while with the Celtics he helped clinch the 1981 NBA title. In that span, Boston won 29 games in 1979 (no playoffs berth), 61 games in 1980 (5-4 in the playoffs, lost the Eastern Conference finals to Philadelphia), 62 games in 1981 (12-5 in the playoffs, won NBA title), 63 games in 1982 (7-4 in the playoffs, lost the Eastern Conference finals to Philadelphia), and 56 wins in 1983 (2-5 in the playoffs, lost the Eastern Conference semi-finals to Milwaukee).
If you need something more or something different from a statistical standpoint, Craig, feel free to ask in a follow up question.
