was there a guy named george jacobs who played for the celts in either the '50s or the '60s???  and was he any good or did he just warm the bench..

I have a list of every player to ever don the Celtics uniform, and no one by the name of "Geroge Jacobs" appears on that list ... There were three players with the name "George" who played during the late 1940s: George Monroe ('47-'48), George Kaftan ('48-'49), and George Nostrand ('48-'49 and '49-'50); could one of these players be the person you are thinking of?
