Robert Parish is listed as 7 feet tall, 235 lbs. He was born August, the 30th, 1953 in Shreveport, Louisiana. An alum of Centenary University, he was named "Chief" by Celtic teammate Cedric Maxwell after the character of chief Bromden from the movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" because of his proud and stoic look.
