Question
We are going to the Cardinal/Redsox game on 6/21/08 and we are sitting in Section 18 row 17 seats 10 & 11. How bad is the obstructed view. We are from the St.Louis area my son is a huge Redsox fan and yes, I'm a fan of the card's first but i like the Redsox. Thanks for all the info. Bill

Answer
Congratulations on your tickets. You'll LOVE Fenway Park!
Below, I've included a Fenway seating link.

Click on sec.18 and you'll see the actual 'virtual-view' from that section.(you are almost behind home-plate).

Obstructed view means that there is a post that blocks some part of the field. The closer you are to the post, the worse the obstruction is. But even with this 'virtual-view', you won't be able to tell about the view from Row 17, Seats 10 and 11 until you get there . . .

Have a great time! (I know you will)

Expertise

Boston Red Sox players, team & Fenway Park statistics and history are my strengths. Boston's minor league teams are not.

Experience

I've been attending Red Sox games yearly at Fenway Park since 1969. I thrive on Bosox trivia. I have been a huge Red Sox fan since I was 12 years old. My knowledge of Carl Yastrzemski is exceptional. He was my boyhood hero and I still miss his (hard-nose, give 100% every game) playing style to this day. I 'live & die' with the Red Sox every season, game and even every inning.
