Boston Terriers/is my BT pure bred?

Question
Hi,
We are going tomorrow to pick out a Boston Terrier puppy.  We really don't care if it is pure bred as we are buying the puppy for a family pet and not to show.  However, the owners say they are.  The puppy they are holding for us they say has white on one side of its face and black on the other.  I was always under the impression all Boston Terriers have black over both eyes and white on the nose.  Am I wrong?  I just don't want to be misled.

Jennifer - I have had brown ( fawn) BT doggie here at my doggie hotel...
I would think it is a slight miss mark for Show quality.  Sound like they are pure breed with Miss Markings.  ( no biggie if they are just going to be a family pet)
Again, not show quality.
