Boston Terriers/Hair Loss

Question
I have a 1.5 year old boston. When we first got her she had mange and it was treated with oral medications and we put her on California Naturals, sweet potatoe and herring food, and it went away. She has been on that food since but recently in the last month her hair has thinned on her forehead by her ears and her back legs around her but. My first thought was that she had mange again. We took her to the vet and he did not believe that was the case and told us to use an omega 3 fatty acid supplement on her food and to come back if it got worse. It has not gotten worse and a little has grown back on her but but has not thickened. She is not bothered by this hair loss and it is not red or dry. Do you have any suggestions on what may help with this?

Answer
Hi Stephanie:  The meds for mange are very harsh and could have weakened your little Boston kid.
Here are a few suggestions:
Continue with the Omega 3s - excellent for skin/coat but also great for hips, joints , general health.....GREAT To give any dog.

Make sure you vet knows you are giving supplements...

NEXT, How about some Vitamin E - We have had great luck with Nature's Sunshine Brand:
Give 1 vit E per day for 5 days , and then give 1 EVERY other Day for 1 month...
EXCELLENT for the immune system
Nature's Sunshine sells a very good quality Vit E.

*** these are 100 IU each - very low dosage and SAFE...

How about some NuVET Plus - Take the 60 day trial:
It is all Natural and Safe....

The NuVET Plus Immune System booster is a must.....
Will help to  Blast her Immune System...
She will need 1 per day - they are a wafer treat....

This is also great for Arthritis and Joint health.... Helps to prevent and reduce problems with the legs and joints.
Call Joan - She is at the office M-F - Ask for the 60 Day "money back" guarantee....
No risk....( NOT sold in stores)
Joan is with the Manufacturer and you will need to give her my name as your referring VET or Breeder / Marie Peppers  81098.
