Boston Terriers/heart murmur in Boston terrier;

Question
I have 4yr old Boston , Spanky. At his routine visit today the vet said he heard a slight heart murmur he said he had to trouble finding it twice. He has no history of a murmur , in fact he looked through his past visits and saw no note about a murmur ( if anyone had said they heard something I would have taken action then) He said if he became less active or developed a cough to come back , otherwise to wait.  I have located nearby vet cardiologists should I get a second opinion or am I over-reacting? He is fit ,about 21 lbs muscular and extremely active.  I have been scouring the Internet and found that this is common in Bostons, so it makes the wait and see instruction hard to follow.
thanks

Denise - Don't worry!  Even I have a murmur and mitral valve prolapse... I don't take meds and have lived with this for 47 years.
Many pets have murmurs and never have a problem at all.
The KEY is good food, supplements and exercise.

I suggest you give him some vitamin E daily ( a cat dosage ) just
(1) 50 IU 1 x per day - long term - VERY good for him!
Hide is some WET food or cheese.

Also, make sure you are feeding a good quality food that will not allow him to gain weight.  A food with very little fillers is a plus in keeping the weight down.
Let me know what you are feeding him????

Last - All my Boston Clients take 1 NuVET wafer treat per day-
