Boston Terriers/Eating habits

Question
QUESTION: I got my Boston Terrier on Friday, March 26th. She is 9 weeks old. She ate 1/4 of a cup of food that same night. The next morning she ate another 1/4 of cup. Since then I have not been able to get her to eat. She takes a few bites from the bowl and then walks away. She is playful and she is pooping a lot. Her stools vary from solid to stinky diarreah. Today, Sunday, I'm lucky if she ate even 1/8 of a cup of food. What is wrong with her? Should I be worried?

ANSWER: Alex, Please take her and a stool sample to the VET, ASAP  - We need to rule out some problems and that is the only way!
I hope it is minor.... BE sure and see the vet today.

QUESTION: I brought her to the Vet. She has mild hookworms and coccidia. She is now feeling much better and her stools are firm again! She is tiny, however. Only 3 pounds and she is 9 1/2 weeks. Her brother and sister are twice her size! Vet said she was healthy. Is it normal for Bostons to be that small at that age? How big will she get?

Answer
Oh, I am gald you did take her to the vet for stool analysis!  The worms were taking away some of her nutrients.  She will grow larger now that you have her on medicaiton for the worms and coccidia.  Make sure you add some low fat cottage cheese to 1 of her meals per day - JUST 1 teaspoon per day for 3 -4 weeks... ( 2% small curd cottage cheese)
Also, I would put this baby on 1/2 teaspoon of NuVET Power per day... The other dogs can have 1 full teaspoon per day.
HELPs to fight off coccidia and re establish the immune system.
HELPs her to grow healthy and strong.
