Question i'm not gay, but just interested in the truth re: bowie being gay or straight.
i'd been pretty much convinced by his relationships. what about him singing with klaus nomi in ny before he died of aids? or freddie mercury? what about his relationship w/eno & their living together in berlin during the trilogy? what about his relationship w/lou reed, who seems to be clearly gay himself? what about his relation to iggy pop? i think there's too much to just dismiss away based on angela's own issues and lies.
Answer He was clearly interested and wanted to explore that side, but I don't think he ever was gay. Perhaps unsure about his sexuality but not gay. I've never heard that anything that suggest Iggy or Lou was gay either.
It was a case of getting the attention which made David bring the gay issue on the table, nothing else. It was the perfect thing for his career.
