Question
having trouble picking up 10 pin. am righthanded and the ball is breaking inside the 10 at the last second. I am a semi-roller using a reactive ball. used to be no problem, but these backends are super dry.help

Answer
Your ring finger creates some of the rotation of your ball. Removing the ring finger when throwing at 10 pins, will often cut down the hook substantially. Try a couple shots into the couch at home to make sure your fit will allow you to control the ball with only the middle finger and thumb (notice how I assume you put your thumb in the ball!!!).

When control is doable, try a few shots on the lane and adjust right and left up to an arrow(5 boards), to determine the best target line for your 10 pin trajectory.

Another option is just practicing 10 pins from a variety of angles (4th arrow, third arrow, second arrow, etc.)to establish if there is a better target line for your 10 pin.

Either of the above should be an effective option, if neither afford you a 99 percent spare conversion percentage, you just may want to consider a spare ball. Let me know how this works out. Good luck.
