Bowling/fingertip numbness

Question
I am a left-handed bowler and Ive been using a fingertip for about 2 yrs and recently someone gave me a used Matrix and I has it plugged and re-drilled. For about 2 weeks now my the tip of my ring finger has been numb.  I am putting this ball away and using the ball I was using prior to the Matrix.  I am getting a brand new ball the Track Rising.  This finger is still numb.  What do you suggest?

Answer
Stacy,
Check the fit of the ball where you got it plugged. Have the operator measure it in front of you. Length and angle of the holes (pitch) should be identical to your other ball. Or have them fix it.

The numbness could be several things (you throwing it different is one). I'd expect an angle or length difference to be more likely, but not necessarily, exclusively, the problem. Do you use finger grips? Did you change styles when you had the Matrix plugged? Which Matrix is it by the way?

What was your old ball? The Rising is an awfully strong ball, what do you average? How hard do you throw the ball?

Before drilling anything new, I'd strongly recommend you determine the cause of the numbness. You don't want to put the same cause into something new and have to change another ball later. Best of luck. Let me know how everything shakes out.
