Question
Hi Chip,
I have recently aquired a Track Xception 5.0 which is a ball i have been trying to get my hands on for a long time.
only problem is when i recieved it i realised it only has about a 5mm pin. Is there a way to drill the ball to overcome this problem?

Answer
A pin in will lessen your layout options, but by no means is this not a good ball.
Depending on top weight, you wont be able to shift it a lot.  I would look at more of a standard positive/finger weight layout.  This would give you moderate length and readable reaction down the lane.  Coverstock manipulation will control the amount of length and shape of the breakpoint.
It is such a strong core, you should be fine with the options you have.

Good luck,
Chip
