Bowling/Thumb Pitches

Question
Sir as I am getting older (48) I have began using a little smaller span 1/8" on both fingers, just to ease the tension on my hand. My question: Is it possible that I should use less reverse pitch on my thumb. It feels like I have to squeeze the ball more than before, I currently was using 3/32 reverse 1/16 left pitch on the thumb. I was thinking of have the ball drilled at 0 or possibly 1/32 forward pitch , do you think this would help.
Thank You

Curtis

Answer
I would adjust the pitch on the thumb.  As the span decreases, less reverse is needed.  With the use of a thumb slug, you can change the pitch much faster and easier than if you had to plug it.  I would think 0 would be a good place to start.

Good luck,
Chip
