I have notice that duke has a open hand release compare to wrw jr when the is release on his follow thru he lifts the and close his like a fist is this proper on both releases.

I would try to copy Norm Duke, Pete Weber, Chris Barnes, or any number of the power players that have the relaxed or open hand at the end of their release.  If you pay attention to when they bowl, there bad shots are when the hit or grab the ball at the bottom of the swing.  Walter Ray, through practice and natural ability, can make his game work when no others can.
