Bowling/rotation

Question
I have notice from novice to pro how they come around the ball or turn there wrist in or up is this proper for better rotation. I was told use your ring and middle fingers for better rotation at 6'o'cock and bring the fingers up for more
revs please explain on the best technique.

Answer
Just lifting with the fingers will not increase revs, unless you can get the fingers further under the ball.  If you draw an equator line on the ball, your fingers must be below that line before the release.  At the release point, let the ball roll off of the hand while keeping the fingers firm.  If you hit the ball, or grab with the fingers, you will lose rotation, not gain.

If you want to increase the backend movement, or skid, you will need to rotate counter clockwise during the release, if you are right handed.

Good luck,
