Bowling/axis hole

Question
i just added another ball to my bag, and i wanted it to react differntly than my other ball.  the ball i just bought is a grand illusion my other ball is an action attack.  the action attack is pretty aggressive so i wanted the grand illusion to be a little more straighter so when the lanes start to break down i could have something to adjust better.  my ball was drilled almost the exact same way as the action attack so this made the grand illusion react the same. i was wondering if i put an axis hole in the grand illusion if it would straighten it out or should i just plug it n redrill it?

Answer
Roger,
A hole on the axis, if there is no weight hole now, will reduce the flare potential 15-20 percent. Not getting it to go longer just flare less, hook a little less.

I'd use the older ball as the plug and redrill canidate, unless the Grand Illusion is similar but not quite what you need. The older ball has experienced some surface loss and is very smooth. With a milder layout and change of grip location, you can benefit from the length you crave and contuinue to utilize the ball.

Thanks for the question.
