Bowling/bowling ball track
Expert: - 12/12/2008
QuestionI have an inverted ball track. When I first started bowling my track was very high close to the fingers and thumb and equal distant from the grip holes.
I would like to know how did my track move away from my grip about 3 inches and also became inverted. Do you have any suggestions on how to correct this problem? Also is an iverted track good or bad?
AnswerMichael,
Have you changed your grip or is this in a new ball?
Rolling lower, away from the grip is often the result of a later release. If your current ball is a little longer than previous, you may be twisting out of it unconsciously and delivering the ball a little late. Colder weather may have the thumb and fingers fitting a little looser, and your gripping the ball a little because of the change in feel.
No track is good or bad, when it's working. I'd be more concerned that the ball roll has changed, so your layout isn't as effective and the ball isn't doing what it was drilled to do.
Thanks for the question. Bowl well.
