Question
Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

I would like to get more revs on my ball. I throw medium speed, stand in the middle and throw out between the 1st and 2nd arrow. Is it correct that you are not supposed to turn your wrist at all? Are you supposed to come around the side of the ball on release or just push up through the ball?  Is your wrist supposed to be cupped?

Thanks.

Answer
In order to increase the rev rate on your ball, you need to be able to get the fingers further beneath the ball during the release.  If  you get the chance to watch Chris Barnes and Tommy Jones, they have the best.  One does it with the wrist while the other does it with the wrist and elbow.
If you want to create more hook, watch Pete Weber.  His hand is around on the side of the ball which creates much more side rotation and hook down the lane.
Do not "hit" the ball with your fingers.  Keep them firm and let the ball catch on them during the release.  Your hand should go through the ball, not up it.

Good luck,
Chip
