Question
I have been bowling for 3 years now, i just bought the Ebonite NVS  and I've noticed that when the ball goes to break the spin stopes and restarts in a different direction

it hesitates

the guy in my pro shop said that what its supposed to do

but i have watched other people throw it and it has a smooth clean break, this is the only ball that does this

i have an ebonite: The Big One that breaks more than my NVS  which i know its not supposed  to

but i was wondering what could cause this?? PAP location bad? or just the way i am throwing it

i just changed to a Cranker Release when i started using my big one  with no problem

should i get it re drilled?

Answer
Did you use a different layout than you normally use?

One thing that will make the ball look like it rotates differently is the logos on the ball.  They are more noticeabale on the NVS due to the contrast in color with the ball.  The ball cannot change its rotational direction, going from one direction to another, while it is going down the lane.  The logos can create an optical illusion.

The Big One comes out of the box with a duller finish than the NVS so that may why you see the reaction difference between the two balls.

Good luck,
Chip

What layouts do you have on each ball?
