Question
I bought a Classic Zone Red Pin about a year and a half ago. I never got it drilled. I am an experienced bowler, but never had a brand new ball. I always used someone else's. I was just wondering, if I should get fingertips with this ball, and is there anything I should expect from a new ball? Also, when I get it drilled, will the pro shop help me on placement of the holes?

Answer
The pro shop should be able to help you with the layout of the ball and what to expect from it.
This being a performance ball, I would probably drill it fingertip and with inserts.  Especially if you want to create some hook with this ball.
If you have never had a ball that was  yours, I would expect the new one to feel a bit different.  Do not panic over that and give it some time.  It should be easier for you to handle as it should fit your hand better.

Good luck,
