Question
Hi I have been bowling for three years I recently got an Ebonite tornado and it hooks wrong when I throw it it goes all the way to my right and I don't know why pleas help me am I doing something wrong or is it my ball

Answer
Darien,

Many things can can cause you to back the ball up. Chances are it's not the ball.

What were you throwing before the Tornado? How many steps do you take in your approach? Three step? four step? five or more steps? Are you far from the fouline as you slide? What weight is the ball? Fingertip or conventional grip?  What is your average?

You might have a minor fit issue, but let's address how you bowl first.

Try to keep more upright when in your approach, slight bend at the knees. Keep the ball in front of your armpit/shoulder, with your arm tucked back under the shoulder. Keep the thumb up as you position the ball, try to use the bone of your forearm instead of soft tissue to balance with most of the weight in your left hand as you swing the ball out and down.

Try these set-up adjustments and let me know if the issue continues.
Please answer the questions above and I'll have a better idea of where your at. Thanks for the question. Hopes this helps in the short term.
