Bowling/lack of lateral pitch in fingers

Question
I was drilling a friends ball in my garage. When drilling the fingers (I was tired and rushing) I forgot to put any lateral pitch in either finger hole and of course the holes met at the bottom. So my question is exactly how "bad" is this and should I plug and re-drill. If so could you explain the plugging process or any tips on it.
Thanks, Dan

Answer
There have been many a ball driller that has done that.  The problem with doing it is it really weakens the ball and might make it prone to cracking issues.  If you can refill the holes to the top and redrill with proper pitches, you would be better off.

Good luck,
