Question

Good afternoon my name is Brandon and im 22 years old and bowl in wisconsin. And right now im just struggling up here with my game Right now i have  cherry Vibe that is drilled up skid flip down an in. And that is not working for i wanted to go to sumthing that will control my hook i put i would say a little more revs on the ball than the average bowler and with the vibe instead of playing down and in i m actaully swiging the ball due to the ddown and inn technique is way to much and with me swiging the ball its way to strong. I also have a Kinetic which i love but i have only been able to throw once up here bc it is way to strong.. What do you think i should do i m actually looking for a ball that i an get some more length with and then snap at the backend what is your advice. Bc when i go back to indiana to bowl im averaging 210 and in wisconisn im averaging 180. please help

Brandon

Answer
You don't get enough length with the VIBE? 15lb or 16?

Either put a shine on the ball with a polish that has a slip agent in it (Extra Shine, Black Magic, Extender) or dull the ball SLIGHTLY (maybe 4000 grit or 2000 grit Abralon pad, service available most likely at your local pro shop).

Your speed and stronger than average rev rate leads me to suggest the dull first. The less shiny ball will moderate the overreaction down lane.

Let me know what the layout of the ball is? Pin to positive axis? Top weight? Weight hole? Thanks for the question. Hopefully with a little more info, we can be closer to a solution.
