Question
I am 40 I bowl in three leagues in a week not in a row I have 14lbs and 15lbs bowling balls I dont feel they are too heavy i have been working on my swing and release I did get the ez bowler as well as practice however when I throw just the right way which isnt always practice is key with 15 or 14 not used in the same night I find myself going too slow or end up coming over the bowling balls with my hand I wonder if I went to a 13lbs which my wife uses and pretty effective sometimes if I may have more control yet still get 200 games and be controlable of my speed and release ps I weigh roughly 135lbs I like what I work with they are not too heavy but I just wonder.

Answer
It really depends on what is causing you to come over the ball.  It sounds like you may have timing issues which will cause both of your symptoms.  Going to a lighter ball will only make the problems worse as you may try to overthrow the ball.
If possible, try to have a pro shop look at your equipment to make sure the fit is good.  Then see if they can watch you throw a few shots to see what may be causing your speed loss and coming over the ball.  I would expect it would be easy to see what the issues are.

Good luck,
