Bowling/Coming Over the ball

Question
Hey Chip, I have a problem I hope you can help me with.  The problem is coming over the top of the ball or the coming around the ball too soon causing the ball to start right of target.  I fixed the thumb holes to make my ball fit great on my hand but the problem still is there.  So if you can give me the causes for this problem and how to fix them I would greatly appreciated it.  Thank you for your help.

Answer
If you are truly over rotating, then you will need to try and lead with your ring finger.  That should keep your hand behind the ball a bit longer.  You could also bring your index finger in closer to your middler finger to change where the weight of the ball sets in your hand.
I would also make sure that you are not setting the ball in front of you when you start your armswing.  That will make you take the ball away from you in the backswing and then come in front of you during the release.  That can give you the same look on the lane as coming over the top of the ball.

Good luck,
Chip
