Question
QUESTION: my adv is 159
my age is 59 male
i want to drill this ball to hook more on the back end and have control my ball speed is adv release is hand shake please advise on what to do and how to do it? the ball does not hook very much at all
thank you
bob

ANSWER: If you want to stay with that release, you will need to place the pin left of your thumb hole, if you are right handed.
I would also polish the ball.  A sanded ball will roll sooner and be calmer down the lane.
If you can change your release to one with counter clockwise rotation, that would help as well and would not need the pin placement by the thumb.

Good luck,

QUESTION: how do you work on ball release to be consistant time after time

Answer
I would suggest you get a softball or nerf ball that you can toss at home.  You can use a football, but some people have a hard time translating the underhand toss of a football to a bowling ball.  That is usually not an issue with a round ball.
Practicing at home, even in front of a mirror with the nerf ball, will give you positive feedback that can be transferred to the lanes.  It will also save you some valueable practice time and money at the center.  You will be able to have much more productive practice at the center by working on this part at home.

Good luck,
Chip
