Question
I have a tournament coming up in about two weeks and am trying to decide how to setup my arsenal for it. Since coverstocks (pearl, solid, etc)has the largest influence should it be setup up based on that or should a the combination of core (symmetrical, etc)& coverstock be of primary importance? This is only the second one i have been to and since the first one my game has improved greatly and i wanted to get your take on what factors help you make your decision when u go to a tourney. thanks

Answer
I think having differences in coverstocks is more important than anything else.  That will give you a much wider reaction than having the same cover with different layouts and cores.  Down the road,  you will need to have more choices in an aresenal, but even that can be done in  6 balls.

Good luck,
Chip
