Questionmy problem is where my track is i cant get it completely three-quarter i always have a couple of flares going through my thumb or completely to the right side of the thumb hole (I'm right handed) but the flare at the fingers will stay to the left where they are need to be. any suggestions would be great have a nice day Jason...
AnswerJason,
An adjustment to your pitches for both fingers and thumb can help get the track off your thumb. Let me know your fit details and I can suggest an adjustment.
A quick setup adjustment may help too.
Tuck your elbow under your shoulder (for support and ease of execution), then as you view your arm, elbow crease and wrist crease are up with your thumb and fingers at 12 o'clock (palm facing up).
Throw a couple shots, rolling the ball off your hand slowly to get the feel of the adjustment. Don't concern yourself with reaction or effect (or even where the ball goes), your working on changing muscle memory.
Your problem track is caused by how you rotate your hand in your delivery. Keeping your swing relaxed and straight during your approach, will be the correction. Once you've worked out the comfort factor of your armswing (this may take 10 games), write back and we can move to step two, helping with wrist and hand rotation at delivery.
Thanks for the questions.
