Bowling/Wrist Support
Expert: - 8/10/2008
QuestionI've started to bowl seriously from mid May of this year and I am slowly getting all the equipment.
I've realized my scores are not consist day by day.
Few days ago, I saw a guy playing with wrist support (Robby's Revs 2)and he said it helped to throw ball more consistently.
Well so I went online searched gears and I was very curious about the difference between regular wrist support and XF wrist support. (e.g. Storm Gadget vs Storm Gadget XF) The point I guess would be one extends index finger and one doesn't. But I would like to know why and how that makes difference.
One more question if I am considering myself low rev rate bowler, which version (reguler vs XF) would you recommend?
Thank you.
AnswerEric,
The extended finger forces your hand around the ball usually effecting your axis tilt and rotation.
A wrist device won't improve your rev rate. Practice and coaching should. You may want to seek out a coach at the local pro shop, center or bowl.com, ibpsia.com or mybowlingcoach.com.
Thanks for the questions.
