Question
QUESTION: no matter what i do    al my balls roll over the thumb I've checked my axis point and its almost 7 inches over and an inch and a half up    how would i keep everything from rolling over the thumb?

ANSWER: Josh,
You deliver the ball with very little axis rotation.

Seeing the span, hole sizes and pitches might lead to some understanding of why you do what you do.

You could be going through the middle of the grip (full roller) or just up the back of the ball and have a very high track. Need more info to answer this one.

Can you provide fit info or pictures or video???? Where, in relation to the gripping holes is your track? Clipping the thumb, on the inside of the hole or outside? Do you roll close to the finger holes too?

Thanks for the question.

QUESTION: the span is 5 1/4 by 5 1/8 its clipping the outside of the thumb and no where near the fingers.

Answer
Josh,
Your grip information is incomplete. The spans 5 1/4 and 5 1/8 sound like your left handed. Are you? The pitches will encourage or discourage your easy exit from the ball, but I don't know what they are. Is your hand flat on the ball? Does the thumb rub at the knuckle as you exit?

Being close to the thumb and far from the fingers indicates you spin the ball, but a 7 inch axis sounds like a late delivery of a full roller hand position. You have possible fit issues. You either grip too much or your span is too long, or you over rotate at the point of delivery.

What you would like is a very complicated evaluation of 11 hard numbers that make up your grip. You've given me 2, the spans. In addition, there are four other elements of fit that influence how you control the ball. I can't even guess at some of the elements.

Seeing the span, hole sizes and pitches might lead to some understanding of how you do what you do. Sorry but I still need more info. Is your grip new? Did you throw differently before? Can you have your ball driller contact me (revbowl@gmail.com)?

Thanks for the questions. Please let me know more.
