Bowling/Handicap

Question
Is there a negative handicap in bowling. Our league is based on a 210 ave. We have bowlers bowling at 227 Ave. shouldn't they be a minus 17 pins?

Answer
Leagues and/or tournaments can set up a negative handicap in their rules.  It happens rarely.  It could be brought up at the rule meeting next year.  I doubt you could get it put into the rules after the league has started.

Anyone that averages over the base number is not given a negative handicap unless the league or tournamet rules allow for that.
