Expert: Chip Aki - 9/2/2008

I have a large span of about 5 1/2 and have always had trouble with getting hung up in the thumb hole on release, I have never felt comfortable with the drill pattern and feel that either the pitch or the span is drilled wrong. is there formula or guide i can use to check this myself as i do not have a great deal of confidence in the ability of the local ball driller.

Do you know what your pitches are now?  Where on your thumb do you feel you are hanging up?
To check your span, place your thumb into the thumbhole and place your fingers over your finger holes.  Where does the edge of the finger hole,(edge towards your thumb hole) hit your finger in relation ship to the joints?
