Questionwhat balls would u recommend 4 extreme backend movement?? thank u lm.
AnswerLarry,
As a rule, the lowest RG (Radius of Gyration) you can find, will provide the quickest change of direction.
What you bowl on (the lane condition, surface of lane) your speed, roll (axis tilt and rotation) and rev rate all contribute to what the ball does and where.
Generally, the high end, most expensive bowling balls have the greatest potential for hook. But, depending on your ball speed and rev rate, a simple ball like the Ebonite Clash (blue/yellow) can be very violent, given the right lane conditions and bowler.
Often a very low RG ball has a high RG Differential. Differential helps a ball read the lane (high flare). A low RG value and smaller Differential value makes for more flippy backend reaction, while high Differential (.038 or higher) influences a more arcy reaction.
All the combinations of cover reactions and core influence can help different bowlers get different reactions. So, there is no one or two balls that are the answer to your question.
Then, drilling into the ball (the core) changes what the initial numbers are. That's another whole conversation.
Thanks for the question.
