Question
Hello,

I have adapted my standard drilling machine with a crossed table and I'm looking for drilling bits.
I want to buy the 1-1/8, 1-1/4 and 1-5/8 for slugs and the 31/32 and 1-1/32 for inserts.
Today I use more the Pro Vinyl (1-1/8) ones but I want to be able to use the urethane’s ones.
Concerning the others, I think I need to have at the minimum the 7/8, 29/32, 15/16 and 1" but I'm not sure that I will need the 3/4, 25/32, 13/16 and 27/32, what do you think about ?
I prefer doing oval holes by using the Ultra-Fit Workout Tool with 5/8" blade.

BR,
Vincent

PS : Don’t care if my English is not perfect, I’m French.

Answer
If you are planning on drilling balls for others, then you will need the bits in at least 1/32 increments.  If you are only drilling balls for you, then you will need only the ones for your starting thumb sizes that you prefer.
I know for my stuff, I can get away with only using 3 drill bits.

Make sure you get carbide tipped ones.

Good luck,
Chip
