Question
I have been in a year of league and I want to join again. I got a used ball for cheap and I have had a few issues but mainly I been told that it is now "oval" shaped because of previous use and work on the ball so it won't hook. So I want a new ball. I want to find a new ball that I can starting learning to hook. I was also wondering about the what I should be looking for or if you have any suggested balls. Also one that is too much.

Answer
Chris,
Can't imagine what would make it "oval"?

What ball are you throwing, that isn't hooking? When I get a tiny bit of information (what do you average, what is your ball speed, rev rate, do you know anything about your current ball?) we can discuss balls that might suit you.

I'm a fan of starting with a basic ball (surface and core). When you learn some basic repeatable skills, you can then benefit from a entry performance ball. Ball fit is crucial; it allows you to work way less hard.

You can throw any ball straight, even the most expensive.

Thanks for the question.
