Question
What is meant by too much hand in the ball?
As in: He puts too much hand in the ball at release.
Thanks Rich

Answer
Rich,
The player is creating to strong a rev rate possibly not matching their ball speed creating a rev dominant situation.

More revs than speed creates a lot of hook potential, and on less than very fresh (oily) lanes, the ball will hook too much. Player needs to cover a lot of boards, possibly suffering if their consistency is shaky or dealing with a very over/under reaction.

thanks for the question.
