I am looking for a new bowling ball.  I have been throwing 2 old hammer bowling balls that were my dad's old ones.  I am bowling in tournaments and I have been looking at a Black Widow Pearl.  I really want a black widow because some guys on my team have them and they love them.  Would you recommend the Pearl?

The Widow line is a good one. The Pearl stores alot of energy and is more angular than the others with surface (Original Widow, Bite or Sting). Venom has a stronger cover, but if ball speed is a little slower and you have decent hand, the red one is very impressive.

A recommendation would entail knowing more about your ball speed, rev rate, lane conditions and what you need the ball to do. I'd suspect you could play in the neighborhood of where you were with the old Hammer balls and get a stronger move near the pins (the backend). So if that's what your looking for, get one. I'd also suggest that if you throw hard and the conditions are (you feel they're) oily, you may want to opt for a duller surface.
